SELF TICKER

Terms of Use

EFFECTIVE 18 AUGUST 2026 · LAST UPDATED 18 AUGUST 2026

Please read this before using Self Ticker. By downloading or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

1. What Self Ticker is

Self Ticker is a personal habit tracker. You log what you did in ordinary language, the app converts each entry into a small percentage using a published set of rules, and those percentages compound into a personal index. Everything the app shows you is calculated from what you typed, on your own device.

The app is provided by Anish Nair ("we", "us"), operating as a sole proprietor in Singapore. Contact: support@selfticker.com.

2. Self Ticker is not medical advice

This is the most important thing on this page.

Self Ticker is not a medical device, it is not a diagnostic tool, and it does not provide medical advice. The scores it produces are motivational judgement calls chosen by us, not clinical measurements, and they have not been validated by any medical body or reviewed by any regulator.

Nothing in the app should be used to make a decision about your health. Talk to a doctor or another qualified health professional before making medical decisions, and keep doing so while you use this app. If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately rather than opening an app.

Do not use Self Ticker to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. If you have an eating disorder, a history of disordered eating, a substance use disorder, or any condition that self-tracking and scoring could aggravate, please speak to a professional before using an app that assigns numbers to what you eat, drink and do.

3. The trading desk is a simulation, and nothing here is financial advice

Self Ticker uses the language of markets as a teaching device. Your "share price", "market cap", "dividends", "splits" and the trading desk are all fictional constructions calculated from your own habit log.

To be completely unambiguous:

We are not a financial institution, a broker, an adviser, or a regulated entity of any kind, and we do not offer any regulated service.

4. Your data is yours, and backing it up is your responsibility

The app stores your entries on your device. We do not receive them, we do not hold a copy, and we cannot recover them for you.

This means that if you lose your device, delete the app, reset your data, or import a file over your existing data, that information is gone permanently and we cannot restore it. The app provides an export feature so you can keep your own copy. Using it is your responsibility. We are not liable for lost data under any circumstances.

5. Acceptable use

Use Self Ticker for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Do not reverse engineer, decompile, resell, redistribute or attempt to extract the source of the app except where that restriction is prohibited by law. Do not use it in any unlawful way.

6. Subscriptions and payments

Some features may require a paid subscription. If they do, purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, and the price, billing period and renewal terms are shown to you before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you manage or cancel them in your App Store account settings rather than through us.

Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us. We do not have the ability to issue refunds for App Store purchases.

We may change what is included in a paid tier, or its price, for future billing periods. We will tell you before a change affects you.

7. The app is provided as it is

Self Ticker is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of inaccuracies, or that any score, insight or calculation it produces is correct, meaningful, or suitable for any purpose. The scoring rules are opinions expressed as numbers.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of Self Ticker, even if we have been advised that such damages are possible.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for all claims relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you actually paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose, or ten US dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages. Where that is the case, the exclusions and limitations above apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Changes to the app and to these terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the app at any time. We may update these terms, and if we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and note the change in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Self Ticker at any time by deleting it, which removes your data from your device. We may end your access if you breach these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.
