Self Ticker keeps what you log on your own phone. There is no account, no server of ours, and no analytics. We cannot read your data, because it never reaches us.
Everything the app holds is something you entered yourself:
All of it is stored in the app's own storage on your device. None of it is sent to us, because we do not run a server for this app to talk to.
Nothing that we send. Two honest exceptions worth knowing about:
Things you deliberately share. When you tap Share on an achievement or a weekly report, or export your data to a file, iOS hands that content to whatever app or person you choose. Where it goes after that is between you and them.
Your own device backups. If you have iCloud Backup switched on, or you back your phone up to a computer, Apple's normal backup process may include this app's data along with every other app's. That backup belongs to you and is governed by Apple's terms, not ours. We have no access to it. This is also why your data can survive moving to a new iPhone.
Some of what you log relates to your health: sleep, food, exercise, alcohol, smoking. The app treats it exactly like any other entry. It stays on your device, it is never transmitted to us, it is never sold, and it is never used for advertising or shared with anyone for marketing.
Self Ticker is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. The scores are judgement calls meant to motivate, not clinical guidance. Check with a doctor or another qualified health professional before making any medical decision, and keep doing so while you use this app. The Terms of Use covers this in more detail, including who should think twice before using an app that scores food and drink at all.
There are none. The app contains no analytics SDK, no advertising identifiers, no third-party trackers, and no crash reporting that would send us your content. We do not build a profile of you, because we receive nothing to build one from.
We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, and the app asks for no advertising permission because it has no use for one.
We share your data with nobody, because we never hold it. There are no analytics providers, no advertising networks, no data brokers, no affiliates and no parent or subsidiary companies with access to anything you log.
The only companies involved at all are Apple, who distribute the app and process any subscription payment, and whose own privacy terms cover that relationship, and no one else.
We keep it for no time at all, because we never receive it. Your entries stay on your device for as long as you choose to keep them there, and vanish when you delete them, reset the app, or remove the app.
Because there is no consent for us to act on and no copy of your data in our hands, there is nothing for you to revoke and no deletion request for you to send us. Deleting is something you do directly, in the app, and it takes effect immediately.
Self Ticker is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. Since the app collects nothing at all, there is nothing for us to hold or delete.
You can delete any single entry from the day it belongs to. You can delete sentiment readings and corporate actions the same way. Settings has a Reset all data option that permanently erases everything the app holds on your device. Deleting the app removes all of it as well.
Settings also has an Export option, which writes your whole ledger to a file you keep. Because we never receive your data, there is no copy of it for us to delete on request, and no way for us to restore it if you erase it.
If a paid subscription is offered, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your card details, billing address, or Apple ID. Apple's own privacy policy covers that transaction.
If the app starts doing something this page does not describe, we will update this page and move the effective date before that change ships. Meaningful changes will be called out in the app.
